Green Kitchen

I know it's not that fancy, but I wanted to do something more with my kitchen. I had some hand towels and rugs that were green but besides that... nothing. I wanted more green decor. So this is what I came up with after a trip to D.I. and Ikea.

The amazing part was that Rick actually liked it! Normally I have ideas like this and when he finds out he has an opposite opinion. This time I went out and did it all without him knowing and when he got home he saw the finished project and approved. Or maybe he felt bad for me because I did all that work and just told me he liked it because he didn't want to hurt my feelings. I'm going with the "he liked it" story.

So Much Fun

One of our neighbors was moving out and was getting rid of this giant 38"x38" mirror so I brought it home and leaned it up against a wall for Levi to play with. He was entertained for hours!Levi playing with the milk jug! He loved it!

Rick decided to put Levi's folded up burp cloths on his head. He kind of looks like a Rabi.

Umm... don't ask.

Being a mother is the FUNNEST thing I have ever done in my entire life!!!! Levi is learning and growing so fast. I am just in love with him so much! Poor thing has been struggling to calm down for bed and nap time. I've been trying everything to calm him down and I finally had to let him cry himself to sleep and that worked fine. He cried for just a couple minutes then went to sleep. Maybe he just doesn't like me holding him anymore. Yeah right! ha... he loves his mommy. It is such a rewarding thing to take care of such a precious gift from Heavenly Father. I can't wait to have a couple more.

September thus far...

The rundown:
I climbed a tree with my sister. I felt so young again, until I had to jump down. It doesn't look too high in this picture, but it we were at least 5 and a half feet off the ground. Right Sis? My two nieces came to sleepover! We had fun laughing and watching silly movies. They helped with Levi, like making him a bed and trying to get him to sleep.
There were two requests they had. They wanted to climb the tree that their mom and me climbed in that picture above.
And they wanted to go to the mall. It was 9am when we went to the Gateway on their way home so no shops were even open but they didn't care. They just wanted to ride the escalators!
It was Rick's mothers birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE! We had a delicious healthy lunch and played kickball! Ryan and I won- two against three! HA!! Go Ryan! This is Debbie pretending to blow out candles just for my sake so I could get a picture!
The boys... ahem... I mean MEN.
Debbie and Me.
Rick played some guitar and sang a bit for Debbie. She loves to hear music in her home. Levi was so excited and wanted to play the guitar too. Can you see his little fingers wrapped around the strings?
All the kids and Bob pitched in to give Debbie a birthday AND Christmas present. A new PS3! She wanted it for the family so we can play games and video chat with the siblings that don't live nearby. She was so surprised and happy! We didn't have it yet, it was on order... so we gave her a paper with a picture of it and an explanation.
My BESTEST FRIEND!!!... Mitzi and I had a girls day. We didn't have the kids or anything. We ate Cafe Rio and got pedicures. It was sooooo nice to feel somewhat single and free for the afternoon. Love ya Mitz! Look at our pretty toes!

Levi's Social Life

Landon and Levi
I believe I have already posted this picture, but Levi and his cousin Landon are buddies already. Landon pushed Levi around in the stroller for a good 20 minutes straight. Almost every time they are around each other Landon likes to come up and poke Levi and Levi just laughs and smiles!Patrick and Levi
Levi's 2nd cousin or something like that...(my cousin's son) is only 2 months younger than Levi and they are so cute together.
He puts up with Levi so well! Levi has a way with the ladies already. See how she is pulling the "I'm shy" body language? The funny thing is Levi looks like he is going to get her! ha ha. He just loves girls. Levi, she is a little old for you bud!

Magna Arts Festival

My old home town of MAGNA UTAH had an arts festival this last weekend. I went back to reconnect with the PIRATE in me (Cyprus High School Pirates! Arrrrrr Matey!). Anyway, it was neat to walk around on historic Main Street and see people I used to know. Levi loved it! He had fun talking to all the people that stopped to make faces at him. He is sooo social!
I even found a stinkin' cute hat for winter! 8 BUCKS!! What a steal! I L.O.V.E. IT!!!

My mom was even there!
