THE PERFECT WEDDING!!

Rick and I were married for time and all eternity last Friday at 10am in the Bountiful Utah Temple! What an amazing day. We started the day off by reading our scriptures together and having our first "family prayer" and then driving to the temple. The day went by so quickly it seems unreal at times, but we made sure to soak up every moment and we even sat down a couple days ago and wrote down everything that we remember from that day.
Everyone was there (we missed a couple people at the sealing including a mission president, a cousin, and a couple close friends) and the Spirit was so strong.

This is just a snap shot that my friend took with her camera, I will put up better pictures once I get them from the photographer
A few of the highlights are:
-The sealing in the temple OF COURSE! Our families were all there and when we were pronounced husband and wife I started bawling! Rick wasn't far behind... he shed a few "manly" tears! hee hee

-The luncheon was great! The food was yummy (A big thanks to Bob and Debbie Brunson for all their hard work and preparation). The fathers (Bill and Bob), the Best Man (Mike Brunson), and Matron of Honor (Mitzi Robinson) made toasts that moved us to tears and also had us laughing! My favorite part of the luncheon was at the very beginning when Rick and I arrived at the luncheon, just before entering the room, Mike (the Best Man) announced the arrival of "Mr. and Mrs. Rick Brunson!" and everyone cheered as we walked into the room. That has been my dream since I was little!

-At my parent's house before the reception everyone was over and getting ready. It was a classic scene of people in nylons, skirts, and dress shirts rushing to get ready. I had some time to laugh with my bridesmaids as we got ready and the photographer was there documenting all the chaos! yeah!

-The reception: When planning the reception Rick and I didn't want a formal receiving line. We wanted to mingle and party with everyone. I will admit I was nervous that we would miss people and there would be too much going on, but to my suprise everything was perfect. We had pancakes for refreshments (Apple cinnamon, chocolate chip, and regular with all kinds of toppings) and the decorations were beautiful. Everyone LOVED the pancakes! Our colors were Gold, Champaign, and white so it was very elegant and classy and the lighting was perfect. We cut the cake earlier than usual so that everyone could eat some, which worked out nicely. We did the bouquet and garter toss about an hour and a half before the end of the reception to keep things moving. Rick also sang a song to me that was amazing. Everyone there went wild when he was singing. We had our "bride and groom dance" to our song "Amazed" by Lonestar! Then the rest of the time everyone joined in the dancing and had such a good time. My cousin, Brian, who just got home from his mission, was dancing his heart out! What a scene!
The best was even after we drove off in our trashed car we were getting texts telling us that our reception was the most fun reception!
What a perfect day! Married to the perfect man, in the perfect place, and the perfect time, and starting our perfect (I am sure we will have challenges) life together.
Thank you to everyone for their help and support!

  1. I must admit that it was a beautiful day! You both looked amazing and the dancing was so fun. It's nice to have a little fun and not always be so stuffy about everything. I loved when all the men came and picked up Rick, carried him up in the air across the room and literally dumped him in your arms. Rick, I hope you feel welcome in our family, we all love you!
