Levi Edward Brunson is HERE!!

Levi, you are loved. You always have been from the moment we found out you were coming to this earth and even more the moment we could finally hold you in our arms. Just look at all these people that love you dearly. Thank you for all you add to our family and for all the fun times we have had, and will have together. All our love son, Mom & Dad.

Can't you see how happy we are to finally have you?
Proud Parents!
I was nervous as the wheeled me back to have a cesarean section to get you here safely, but all that changed the moment I heard you cry. You were instantly brought to me all wrapped up and warm. I couldn't stop crying with joy.
It was a long labor, but we were so happy to have experiences such an exciting moment in our life.
Here is what I wrote about that day:
Labor began at about 3:40am when my water broke. Contractions began very strong and close together. I was ready to go to the hospital within 2 hours in active labor. I gave it my all and made it halfway without any medications but I decided around 7am to get an epidural. Thank heavens I did because it was all uphill from there. I was an 8 from 11am until 6pm when the doctor finally suggested a Cesarean Section since I had developed an infection inside because of the long labor and because my water had broken so early. Anyway, after lots of prayer and blessings we decided to opt for the C Section and get Levi here safe and sound. He was born at 6:15pm February 24th 2010. He weighed 9lbs 3oz (big boy!) and was 21.5 inches long! He came out crying and within a few minutes was alert and quiet for the rest of the night. The poor thing had to have so many blood labs done and different things poking and prodding him because he was a C Section baby. He has been a champ and has been very chill though it all. He has been able to feed well and we have spent lots of time staring at him and playing with him.

9 months!!

So... the doctor said my official "due date" is Feb 25th, but then I got my hopes up when a few months ago he "moved the date up" to Feb 18th... which is well passed. I am trying to be patient, but anyone that has ever been pregnant will attest... that is no small feat. It's further proof that these dates should REALLY be called "guess dates." LOL.

Well I am taking it one day at a time and trying to be optimistic and upbeat every step of the way. Thanks for all the support and love. Rick, Levi, and I really appreciate it. We'll keep you posted on the blessed event!!

Here is the most recent picture of me and Levi.

Bony Baby??

No, this is not me! Many of you have seen this picture before... I just thought it related to my post today.I had my weekly check up/check in with my doctor yesterday. As I was laying there while he measured my stomach he laughed and poked me in three places and said, "Butt, foot, leg! Wow, I can see him perfectly... what a bony baby!" At first I was defensive, but then glad that he isn't a big fat baby! ha ha
So far I am still optimistic about pregnancy. I had a rough weekend being sick, but thank heavens I have the sweetest husband in the world that helped me all day Sunday. I laid around most of Monday and now I am feeling much better. I'm still a couple weeks away from my "guess date" but things are good and I am happy Levi is healthy and active in my belly!
Thank you to everyone that has been so good in helping me the last little bit. I love you all!
*Stacie U., you are SO sweet!

Difficulties hiding....

Today at work I was walking in front of my co-worker who was also heading towards the elevator. I quickly thought it would be funny to hide around the corner before he got to the elevators and jump out at him. Well I scurried around the corner, found my little spot to "hide" behind and waited for him. As he was walking around the corner all I heard was him laughing. It was only then I looked down and realized I can't hide as easily as I used to! ha ha. See picture reenactment below. Can you see me?

Remembering the good 'ol days....

This was about the age that my mother stopped doing my hair and started asking me daily, "Did you brush your hair? You look like an orphan!" I'm sorry, but I think I look adorable in this picture (bottom left). If that's what orphans look like then sign me up! ha ha.
I always looked up to my sisters and their fashion sense.... which is scary considering that Deborah and Amelia, have mullets and Emily's glasses were apparently the hottest item in her Senior class! We were talking about her glasses the other day and she swears that all her friends wanted her pink-rimmed-huge-lensed-glasses! I'll take her word for it! I love looking into the past and realizing how crazy we all look. At least we were, and always have been, a happy family.
