Levi, you are loved. You always have been from the moment we found out you were coming to this earth and even more the moment we could finally hold you in our arms. I was nervous as the wheeled me back to have a cesarean section to get you here safely, but all that changed the moment I heard you cry. You were instantly brought to me all wrapped up and warm. I couldn't stop crying with joy.

It was a long labor, but we were so happy to have experiences such an exciting moment in our life.

Here is what I wrote about that day:

Labor began at about 3:40am when my water broke. Contractions began very strong and close together. I was ready to go to the hospital within 2 hours in active labor. I gave it my all and made it halfway without any medications but I decided around 7am to get an epidural. Thank heavens I did because it was all uphill from there. I was an 8 from 11am until 6pm when the doctor finally suggested a Cesarean Section since I had developed an infection inside because of the long labor and because my water had broken so early. Anyway, after lots of prayer and blessings we decided to opt for the C Section and get Levi here safe and sound. He was born at 6:15pm February 24th 2010. He weighed 9lbs 3oz (big boy!) and was 21.5 inches long! He came out crying and within a few minutes was alert and quiet for the rest of the night. The poor thing had to have so many blood labs done and different things poking and prodding him because he was a C Section baby. He has been a champ and has been very chill though it all. He has been able to feed well and we have spent lots of time staring at him and playing with him.
