Reality check...

So Levi is 8 days old today. I spent 5 of those 8 days in the hospital with constant help and hands to hold my baby and now being home I am a little shocked at how much work it takes to take care of him, especially in the nighttime. Not only that, but there are so many decisions to be made regarding diapers, feeding, sleep schedules, where to sleep, etc. It is a lot more to take in than I had originally tried to prepare myself for. I know all you moms out there can totally relate to me so let this be a confirmation that I am just like everyone else!
I was having one of those emotional breakdowns that I hear everyone goes through multiple times postpartum when I asked my husband for a blessing. I am amazed at the words that I heard that gave me such comfort and excitement to be a mother. Now, instead of frustration, every time I look at Levi I grow even more in love with him as the seconds tick on. He is such a sweet spirit and is so easy going. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to be his mother and take care of him and rear him in the gospel.
This is a picture taken of Levi being burped while in the hospital. He had an IV for antibiotics and they had to put it in his head... poor thing. He is so sweet and precious.
