14 weeks!

14 weeks!

We have had our first ultrasound, heard the heartbeat, and in three weeks we find out the gender! Woo hoo! My belly is popping out like no other. It was kind of worrying to me at first and I thought I was having twins, but alas... I am not. I just pop early. That is what the doctor said at least.

You know what I have noticed more and more lately? I have noticed all of these things I do that are not going to be a good model for my children. I burp, I nag my husband, I eat junk food at odd times of the day, I am an aggressive driver, I let a couple not so nice words leave my mouth when I get frustrated. All of these things need to be refined and stopped so that I can be the best example possible for my family. My husband is so perfect at it already that I have a long way to go to catch up to him. I have a scripture I read every morning before I leave the house to help me with my crazy driving and my short temper: Moroni 7:45:46. If I don't develop Charity, I am NOTHING. I also love the wording from Alma 26:13 "sing redeeming love." I want to feel forgiveness and improvement in my life everyday through the atonement and as a result I will want to sing redeeming love. I know these are some deep thoughts, but preparing to be a parent can do this to you.

  3. haha you are so not showing, but I hated when people told me that. You have no need to worry! And I totally get what you're saying about bad habits... I've been feeling the same way. I've been making more goals lately than I ever have before! haha I'm excited to find out what you're having!

  4. Don't worry...you're going to be a GREAT Mom! Although I guess the very fact that you're thinking these things proves that :)
