So I have been laughing so hard at some of the things the men I work with have said to me.
One guy noticed my haircut and stopped to tell me how nice he thought it looked! I was flattered until he said, "Especially as your face gets more round, the shorter look is very flattering!"
Not too bad right? It is just funny because he said it in front of a girl that I had just told about how people feel they can make fat comments to pregnant women unnecessarily. She had front row seats to witness that.
Then within 10 minutes another guy at work walked by and jokingly said, "Woah, you got your haircut! It makes you look pregnant!"

Your positive attitude is an inspiration to us all. I, however, will still continue to wish that people would just shut their traps if they don't have something kind and uplifting to say.
ReplyDeleteOh gee, do people not think before speaking?! That's funny, but seriously!! Ah well, don't you worry one bit because you are absolutely beautiful and you don't look "fat" at all and though you are pregnant, if it weren't for the belly that usually gives it away, you wouldn't be able to tell! You should just come up with sassy comebacks. For example, "Are those new shoes?" and if they say "no" then say "Oh I thought they were; I never noticed what big feet you have til now!" :)
ReplyDeleteGood one.. I never thought about it like that. Ok my least favourite part is when people say you look really cute pregnant, and your 9 months pregnant and about to blow. And you feel fat from every angle, even your lips and nose feels fat and they say oh you look so cute! But you just smile and say thanks :)
