October is here!

It's almost 9am and Levi is down for his first nap of the day. Usually I use this time to finish getting ready. My hair is still wet from the shower, I'm in my favorite stretchy pants and I really should get into more presentable clothing, and I have laundry that has been sitting on my couch for 2 days now, unfolded. But instead I am on my blog...

The past two months I have been really striving to lose weight. So far I have lost 9lbs. It's been a struggle lately to get to the 10lb mark ... argh. I want to go to the gym, but Rick us usually at work and school so he isn't around to watch Levi for me. When he IS home I want to be with him instead of at the gym. This is not helping me lose the weight. Not to mention that I keep leaving the stroller in his car that goes with him to work. So most days I am left without the option of going on walks for exercise. Having said all this... I'm pretty proud of myself for maintaining the weight I have lost so far.

I took some of those terrible fat pictures. You see them on the Biggest Loser. Where you are either in bikini style clothing or super spandex-y pants and shirt. Let's just say I will never show those to anyone, but it was VERY good motivation for me to get this fabulous body I know is in here somewhere back!

For a very long time I have been wanting to try my hand at making my own hair clips. I finally got some things yesterday to start. If they turn out well I might just post some for you to see.

Rick's new job is taking lots of time. He is so dedicated and motivated and gives this job 200%! He has been working late and bringing work home with him. I'm positive his boss can see how hard he is working and is glad he made the decision to hire Rick.

I am already the ruiner of Christmas presents. Last week I was at my computer with my back towards the door to our apartment. Rick tried to slip in without my hearing but I turned around to see what he was doing and he was holding his books from class and something else behind his back. I thought he was playing a game with me so I chased after him and saw that is was a vest from Coscto that I kept telling him I wanted to get. Well he got it for me... but apparently it was supposed to be a surprise for Christmas.

I also opened a package that came to our door the other day and found MAC makeup brushes inside. I then realized he was ordering those for my Christmas present as well. I had to call him at work and tell him my oopsie. He forgot to tell me there was a package coming that I wasn't supposed to open. He was so disappointed that I had found out about 2 of my Christmas presents! I'm the worst.

Rick has had my cut is hair three times now in our marriage and each time I get a new ulcer. I don't know why it stresses me out so badly, but it does. I think I am finally getting the hang of it and I hope that after a couple more times I can relax about it.

Levi is so stinking cute. He causes traffic jams in the grocery store lines because people want to talk and play with him. It was kind of weird but yesterday in the costume isle at the store a little girl was talking to her mom about what she wanted to be for Halloween when she saw Levi smiling at her and she started giggling and making faces at him. She then said to her mom, "I want to be him for Halloween." ha ha... I don't know what that means... but I guess she liked Levi. Strangers keep calling him "blue eyes." It's pretty cute.

Happy Fall and GO UTES! I'm proud to be a Utah Ute!

  1. I have to admit that 9 lbs lost sounds great! I am not seeing the results that I hoped for. It may be the nursing that is making it hard, I don't know though.

Also, in reference to your Facebook post, I have a Babytrend jogging stroller that has the option of locking and unlocking the front wheel. It makes it stable for running but it is still easy to turn. I now need to find a good double jogging stroller because the one my sister in law passed down to me is very difficult to turn.

    Anyway, I think you're amazing!
